Attention Middle School Parents and Students:

After school hours are a critical time for youth.  The time can either represent an opportunity to learn & grow or a time of risk to a youth’s health, safety and unsupervised social behavior.   The Apex Park and Recreation District will help support efforts to keep Arvada youth safe, engaged and ACTIVE! Middle School kids enjoy physical activity – it is a great way to relieve built up energy and tension.  They also crave socialization.  Our programs will address both and also incorporate academic support, healthy eating habits and a variety of enrichment options.

“Play For Keeps” after school program!

The Apex Park & Recreation District, all Arvada Middle Schools and Subway have partnered to provide a quality, active after school program for middle school students.   The program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the school dismissal time to 5:00pm.  The program will incorporate  a variety of activities, such as crafts, music, competitions,  and of course a variety of sports and athletics.  Parents may also require their child to work on school work for an allotted time. Apex staff will be there to guide students through a variety of social and active programs.  The cost is 5.00 per day or $40.00 per month. This includes all activities and a Subway snack!  Pre-registration is required.

Apex Middle School Sports are Back in 2009-2010!

MSSP is a recreational after school sports league consisting of practices and games against participating schools.  Practices are held at the school and start approximately 10 minutes after school. No practice on non-school days.  Games ar eheld both home and away.  Parents provide transporation to and from away games.

Boys & Girls Basketball- January 19th through March 11th

Co-Ed Soccer- March 23rd through May 20th
