Your internship will be based out of the Apex Center, our enormous 168,500 square foot facility. In this facility alone you will spend time working in aquatics, our two NHL size ice rinks, youth services, planning special events like our annual 9 Health Fair (spring internships only), Fitness & Wellness, Guest Services, Concessions, & Hospitality. In all of these areas the internship will focus on program development, operations, organizational management, budget preparation, and special projects that are assigned.

Along the way we will provide you with the freedom to change your chosen path at anytime based on your experiences along the way. Did you really enjoy working at the golf course? If so we will focus the majority of your remaining internship in that area. Most importantly any internship path you choose within our district will provide you with real world experiences and a broad overview of a parks and recreation professional. We look forward to helping you being your journey in the Parks and Recreation Field!!
