From now through September 5, Apex Park and Recreation District is collecting NEW stuffed animals to donate to Ralston House, an agency providing counseling and assistance to children who are victims of sexual assault, abuse or have been involved as victims of or witnesses to crimes.
Ralston House, formerly the Child Advocacy Center, offers a safe and friendly environment for the children to receive the assistance they need. While at Ralston House, the children are offered stuffed animals to help ease and comfort them as much as possible during their interviews with specially trained professionals.
The collection drive is our way of helping children in need, and also to recognize this year’s Harvest Festival theme, “Animals On Parade.” The Festival is September 5, 6 and 7. Please bring your new stuffed animals to any Apex Park and Recreation facility by September 5, and thank you for your support!
