Classification: Part-time seasonal, non-benefited
Salary: $8.50-$14.00 per hour, based on experience
Minimum Age: 16 years
Hours: 2-20 hours per week

Job Summary: Works independently teaching small groups of youth, ages 3-16, beginning and intermediate level tennis skills, at the Arvada Tennis Center. Ability to execute all skills taught and the ability to communicate that knowledge to students. Job performance could lead to continued employment for the 2009 spring/summer season.
Job Qualifications: Applicants must enjoy working with youth, be outgoing, friendly, confident, flexible, good communicators, and good at multi-tasking. Instructor is first point of contact and must reflect district values and an understanding of Apex Park and Recreation District’s tennis program. Must exhibit confidence, and the ability to keep participants active on court with drills, games and simulated play. Required excellent customer service skills, and the ability to make sounds decisions, related to on-court safety. First Aid and CPR certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of date of hire. USPTA or PTR certification, a plus.
