Position Title: Youth Tennis Instructor
Classification: Part-time seasonal, non-benefited
Salary: $8.50-$14.00 per hour, based on experience
Minimum Age: 16 years
Hours: 5-20 hours per week

Job Summary: Works independently or with another instructor, teaching small groups of youth, ages 3.5 -15 years of age, beginning and intermediate level tennis skills at the Arvada Tennis Center and other court locations within the City of Arvada. Ability to demonstrate all skills taught and communicate information on to students.
Job Qualifications: Applicants must enjoy working with youth, be outgoing, confident, flexible, good communicators, problem solvers and good at multi-tasking. Ability to keep participants engaged on court with instruction, drills, and games. Willingness to spend time reading teaching resources, learning teaching methods, and developing lesson plans. Instructor is first point of contact for participants and parents. Needs to become familiar with entire tennis program, tennis center operations, and district policies. Provide excellent customer service, and the ability to make sound decisions. First Aid and CPR certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of date of hire. Certification in USTA Coaches Developmental Training, PTR, or USPTA, a plus.
